GSI Software GmbH ("GSI Labs", "we", "us") takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy explains what data we collect when you visit our website, how we use it, and what rights you have. The responsible party is GSI Software GmbH, Rudi-Dutschke-Str. 23, 10969 Berlin, Germany. Email: info@gsilabs.de. Managing Director: Sascha Avermiddig.
Hosting and General Data Collection
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, which acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR. When you open a page, Vercel records server log data including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, time of access, and the pages visited. This is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Vercel serves the site from a worldwide network of servers, and data may be transferred to the United States in the process. That transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR, which form part of the data processing agreement we have concluded with Vercel.
Visitor Recognition and Your Consent
Beyond what is technically necessary to deliver the site, this website uses one further service, described just below. It stores information in your browser and reads it again later, and it runs only if you have agreed to it. We ask when you first open the site, and until you agree nothing beyond the technically necessary is loaded. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG.
What you allow is decided one category at a time, and you can change it at any time with effect for the future, through the tracking settings linked in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent and does not affect the lawfulness of anything processed before. If you decline, the website works exactly as it does otherwise.
With your consent we use the visitor recognition service of ZenLeads Inc., trading as Apollo.io, 440 N Barranca Ave #4750, Covina, CA 91723-1722, USA. It receives your IP address, the pages you open, the page that referred you and technical details of your browser, and sends them to assets.apollo.io and aplo-evnt.com. It sets no cookies. Instead it keeps an identifier called apolloAnonId, a random value with no name attached to it, in your browser's local storage, where it stays until you clear that storage or withdraw your consent, which deletes it. Apollo.io compares the IP address with its own database of company networks. The purpose is to learn which companies take an interest in our services, so that we can approach them. What comes out is the name of an organisation rather than your name, but your IP address is personal data and is processed to get there. Where no company can be matched, nothing is recorded.
Apollo's terms of service also allow the company to use the data we send it for its own ends: to grow, enrich and verify its own database of business contacts, and, once aggregated or stripped of identifiers, to improve its products. For that use Apollo decides the purposes itself and is not acting on our instructions.
Apollo.io processes this data in the United States. That transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR, which form part of the data processing addendum that Apollo's terms of service incorporate. Those clauses do not put the data out of reach of US authorities, and you should know that before you agree.
Nothing beyond the necessary loads until you agree, and you can withdraw that agreement from any page.
Contact, External Services, and Your Rights
If you contact us through one of the forms on this website or by email, we store the information you provide (name, email address, message content, and for applications the details you enter in the application form) to process your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The forms on this website are provided by HubSpot Ireland Limited, which processes the data you submit on our behalf as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The form is served from HubSpot's EU infrastructure, so your entries are stored on servers in the European Union. Loading a page that carries a form causes your browser to contact HubSpot, which receives your IP address for that request.
The typefaces used on this website are hosted on our own servers. No font request is made to Google or any other third party.
Under the GDPR, you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object (Art. 21). Where processing rests on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time (Art. 7(3)). You may also lodge a complaint with the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.
